While working with medical device innovators as both in-house and outside patent counsel, Clark obtained particular experience working on technologies including: ophthalmic lenses, surgical implant devices; medical feeding equipment; diagnostic equipment; orthopedic equipment; software; and dental inspection and surgical equipment. His blog, which can be found at www.medicaldevicepatentcounsel.com, updates rulings and topics that are relevant to medical device innovators. In addition, he is an active member in the Medical Devices Special Interest Group of the Biomedical Engineering Society.
Clark is currently the Chair-elect and SpringPosium Chair of the IP Section of the Atlanta Bar Association. In addition, he sits on the Executive Board and is the Networking Chair of the State Bar of Georgia IP Committee, and is a Barrister in the Atlanta IP Inn of Court.
In Clark’s spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, hiking in the North Georgia Mountains and relaxing at the beach in South Carolina. As an Eagle Scout, his Scout project involved planting 300 trees on a barren hill along a highway in Fairfax, Virginia. Those trees are still growing 20 years later.
